Freshwater biology : ウィキペディア英語版 | Freshwater biology Freshwater biology is the scientific biological study of freshwater ecosystems and is a branch of limnology. It seeks to understand the relationships between living organisms in freshwater and their physical and chemical environment. The discipline is also widely used in a number of industrial processes such as sewage treatment〔(Open University - Sewage treatment processes )〕 and water purification which utilise biological processes to effect purification. In the UK the Freshwater Biological Association〔(The Freshwater Biological Association web site )〕 is based near Windermere in Cumbria. ==See also==
